Charlotte NC DOT Exams
The DOT exam is a series of tests and evaluation procedures conducted on motor vehicle drivers by the Department of Transportation from which the acronym DOT is derived. All motor vehicle drivers including truck drivers need to successfully clear the examination in order to be allowed to drive the vehicle. Some of the features of the Charlotte NC DOT Exams include:


  • The DOT exam is a scheme by the Federal Government to ensure the ability of the driver and is conducted at the Dot Physical NC clinics. 
  • It is conducted by a licensed medical officer who is qualified for the same. 
  • The DOT Exam has been introduced as a stringent measure to prevent or reduce road   accidents and enhance safety on the road for drivers.
  •  The Charlotte NC DOT Exams is a part of the Motor Carrier Safety Administration Program
  • Physical fitness as well as the competency of the driver is evaluated. 
  • The examination fee is $50- $80 is charged. 
  • All the previous test   records must be carried when going for the DOT exam. 
  • All the previous medical test reports like the blood tests especially for diabetes and cholesterol and other medical reports of the medical history of the examinee must be carried along. 
  • If using spectacles, the previous set of spectacles and the reports of the last eye test conducted must be carried along with the person attending the Dot Physical NC  Exams
  • The prescriptions of all medications consumed during the intermittent period from the last to the present DOT exam and the prescriptions for the present medications being consumed must be carried along. 
  • It is best to fix an appointment for the DOT exam well in advance and ensure that you reach the examination hall prior to the appointment time.
