by the Department of Transportation, from where it gets its name, the DOT Exam,
is a set of tests that the drivers of trucks need to pass in order to be
licensed to drive the heavy vehicles. Conducted by a qualified and licensed
medical officer, the DOT physical examination for truck drivers is an
initiative by the Federal Government, in order to ensure safety and introduced
stringent measures to make road safety and driving more effective. Known as the Motor Carrier Safety
Administration Program, the Charlotte DOT Exam
is a way to ensure that they are not only physically fit but also highly
competent to perform the function of a truck driver.

the exam is mandatory for the truck drivers to enable them to continue with

Make
sure that you carry the required amount that is charged for the examination
which ranges from $50 - $80.
Carry all the previous test record,
and reports, especially if you are suffering from ailments like diabetes or
high blood pressure, or have a history of any other ailment suffered in the
past. Also if using spectacles, make sure to carry all the test reports and the
previous glasses too.
It is advised that you carry a list
of all the medications being consumed at present and also consumed in the past.
